thanks very much for the amazing comment... it's great to know there's something in my work that really struck you this way.

i looked at your site and am totally amazed by your paintings! i was sad to see so many broken links on the 3rd page, i was dying to se ewhat lay under the question marks... hey, your work is really inspiring and very accomplished. it is very nice to see the variety in your work, and on top of that the obvious professionalism in what you are creating.

in your journal you write about the difficulty of selling your work becaus eyou dont know how to price it... i have the exact same problem. having a few gallery shows has helped put things in perspective for me a bit, and i have learned that when you price your work too low you face some problems, such as: 1) devaluing your work make sit difficult to raise the prices later (makes you seem suddenly greedy), 2) some people are not willing to buy a work that is too low becuase they want to feel it is somehting more valuable.

with the type of work you and i both do, there is some good merit in pricing things under $100- the market for my aesthetic and i imagine for yours also is filled with people who want to buy art, but don't have much money. after all, we aren't making picture perfect still lifes for stiff people who want to buy the "idea" of art. making stuff that has a cartoony or illustration feel to it creates a weird situation for selling paintings.

do you work professionally as an illustrator? have you thought of it?
i put you on the watch thing, and it'll be nice to see more new stuff from you... thanks again for the comment
Makes me happy!

thanks for the wonderful comment!
hey man, i'm happy to have made you happy with the painting. i really feel that's one of the best compliments you could have sent my way, which makes me happy also... happy new year!

i dig the macabre feel on your page.
HAH thanks. now you made me glad by telling me i made you glad... this surely is a weird spiral of doom
